Partnering in Recruitment Incentives for Physicians

The municipalities of Argyle and Yarmouth and the Town of Yarmouth in Nova Scotia, in collaboration with the South West Health District Health Authority’s Physician Resource Management Department, partnered to offer recruitment incentives to physicians who choose to practice family medicine in their communities.
The three municipal units are also partners in the ownership and management of two family practice medical centres: Harbour South (capacity of eight doctors) located in the Town of Yarmouth and the A.M. Clark Health Centre (capacity of five doctors) in Pubnico.
Both facilities are fully-equipped turnkey medical centres with state of the art equipment and the option of electronic medical record management. Doctors can immediately begin their practice, without the problems or expense of setting up an office and practice.
